Relay for Life Rain Barrel Sale

St.Thomas Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life teams are joining forces with the Port Stanley Village Association’s rain barrel sale. We have been given the opportunity to sell these high quality rain barrels for only $60. Barrels similar to these ones retail for up to $100. Not only is it a cost savings for you, but a portion from each sale will go to a  Relay for life team.

Each rain barrel comes fully equipped with a leaf and mosquito filter basket, an overflow adaptor that permits multiple barrels to be connected in series, 1.2m of overflow hose and a spigot that attaches directly to a garden hose.

Rain barrels are terracotta coloured and there are two sizes available with capacity of approximately 180 – 190 litres for the smaller and 200 to 230 litres for the larger range. All are approximately 1m tall and .6m in diameter. Each rain barrel comes with 4 feet of 1.5 inch diameter corrugated overflow hose. Additional 1.5 inch diameter overflow hose can be purchased in either 12 ($10) or 24 foot ($15) lengths.

Distribution will be from 11am – 1pm at the Port Stanley Olmsted building across from the Legion on May 15. No household limits and no residency requirements are imposed however, only barrels ordered in advance are guaranteed to be available. Live music and lunch are also available at pick up as part of the 1st Annual, Community-wide Pt. Stanley Spring Yard and Sidewalk Sale, Saturday & Sunday, May 14 & 15.
