Every time I read a Jan Burke novel, I wonder why I haven’t read all her stuff already. Very similar in style to Michael Connelly, the stories flow without missing anything, don’t get bogged down in pointless details, and create memorable characters that you care about. Nine is a brilliant book, with a plot that could have been from a Harlan Coben novel. Well paced and full of enjoyable characters.
As a book, it was pretty much unputdownable, and once again helping me to realise that Jan Burke is a very good writer.
