Hawley- Joseph of St. Thomas passed away on Friday, September 27th, 2013 at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital in his 75th year. Loved partner of Mary Ann Price and father of Millie and step-father of Charles. He will be sadly missed by numerous family and friends. Joseph was born November 16, 1938 in St. Thomas. He formerly worked at the Canron Foundry.

A Memorial service will be held at Williams Funeral home, 45 Elgin St., St Thomas on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Visitation one hour prior from 12 to 1. Cremation has taken place with interment of ashes in Union cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart &Stroke Foundation or Diabetes.

Williams Funeral Home
The Williams Funeral Home was founded in 1893 by P.R. Williams and is one of the oldest Funeral businesses in the province. Over the next seven decades the business was passed down through several generations in the Williams Family. In the eariler years they occupied a number of different buildings along Talbot Street and in 1929 they purchased the building at 45 Elgin Street, from which they still operate. In 1966, Gordon Hughson, who had operated the Hughson Funeral Home in Aylmer for the previous twenty one years, purchased the funeral home and continued the long tradition of dedication and service. Currently, the funeral home is operated by his sons, Allan and Gary Hughson.
