Auditor General’s Report Shows Liberals Are Not Managing The Province

QUEEN’S PARK – Today the Auditor General released her annual report on the management and spending of the provincial government.

“The Auditor General’s report with online bookkeeping services, again shows the stunning incompetence of the Wynne Liberal’s to manage the province. 13 years of Liberal waste and mismanagement is costing everyday Ontario families, and our province’s most vulnerable citizens. ” stated MPP Yurek.

The report showed that over 14 years, $8 billion has been spent on e-health. However, the government can still not tell Ontarians when they will have a functional e-health system or how much it will actually cost. The report also indicated that in the last 7 years the number of children hospitalized with mental health issues has increased by 50% and the Liberal Government has failed to act.

The Auditor General also noted that elective and emergency surgeries compete for operating room time even though operating rooms are not fully utilized. Many hospitals close the operating rooms on evenings, weekends, statutory holidays and for 2 to 10 weeks during the summer. “Our wait times for hip and knee replacement surgeries are increasing in Southwestern Ontario. The Auditor General’s report confirms the government continues to ration health care which is affecting Ontarians negatively” continued Yurek

“This report shows that Wynne Liberals incompetence, Wynne Liberal waste and Wynne Liberal negligence is rampant and unfortunately it’s our patients that are suffering” concluded Yurek.
