I remember as a kid, it was rare for my parents to take me out for dinner. As I grew up and didn’t need crayon’s at the table, we went out a little more, and especially for special occasions. Now as i’m getting older (still a kid at heart) I enjoy food. Not fast food, I mean quality products cooked by people who enjoy their jobs. It’s still a treat to take my love to The Keg for a proper steak. I love to cook myself and now with The Horton Farmers Market open Saturdays, buying fresh and local to me is very important.
From intimate meals from two, large events, to weddings; James Meadows is a Passionate Food Artist. With Mary by his side, their Catering company can cover your needs with a professional command of culinary excellence.
I sat down with Mary and James for this interview, and the one thing that stood out is their passion for food. This industry is extremely demanding on your time, and stresses for having the food turn out perfect & on time. It’s not a job or a career, you have to sweat and love food. James has this. His drive, and again i’ll say it passion for the culinary arts is evident. From something simple as cutting and dicing an onion I saw how he explained the common french style with he hands, and then told my of another way and as he used his hands to demonstrate you saw the control of a chef.
Now when you think of catering, some might think standard menu based on the venue, or function. Catering by James Meadows is custom. From the meal to the centerpieces it is up to you. The level of service and quality is always top notch, and when you discuss the menu options you will be leaving hungry thinking of the meal.
This is part one of a two part interview. Below are some photos from their location.
