Spa + Utopia = Spatopia

Nicole Duncan created Spatopia as a result for her search to have all natural products during her pampering time at the spa. Unfortunately, she found that there was no such thing as a chemical free spa experience in her area. Wanting the spa experience desperately, minus the headaches brought on by the heavy perfumes.

While not finding what she was looking for, she decided to study at Inner Insights in London Ontario, to become a Holistic Spa Therapist.  Between local workshops, and through the School of Natural Health Sciences in the United Kingdom, Nicole custom makes all the herbal brews, body butters, massage and face oil, and scrubs for her clients during treatments. With clients asking for her products for home use, Nicole how offers holistic products.

All of the body butters, epsom salt bath brews and body scrubs are ALL natural. However, please note that currently her soaps are made with an Olive Oil Soap Base. This base does contain other ingredients in order for it to set properly.

You can find Nicole at the Horton Farmers’ Market Saturday’s 8am till noon. Spatopia has a booth with fresh products and a wealth of information.

You can follow Nicole on Facebook on the Spatopia page. or her website. We had a great chat about what goes into making the products and how they can help your body.  I also now know what store bought soaps to stay away from. They might smell nice but do you really want to scrub formaldehyde into your skin? Didn’t think so. Learning about the natural and organic products, if you have health issues or not, these products will certainly help be a step up from what you are using now, and in my opinion are better for you.

Depending on the treatment, Nicole also will travel within Central Elgin, so if you feel more comfortable at home you still can enjoy the products and be pampered.

For those who want that special touch, how about a Spa Party, Princess Party, of a Soak & Chat Party. You can learn more about each party on her website.

Now along with being a mom of three boys and wife to a police officer, she found her solitude in taking pictures. One Soul Photography is her website for displaying images taken around the St. Thomas area.

Nicole Duncan has a lot on the go, and when you meet her at the market, you will see she always makes time for you. Ask your questions and try her products, my guess is you won’t be shopping for your old products anymore.
