Bert is a loving, snuggly guy who wants to be close to his humans – on the couch, on the bed, he just loves being near you. He loves his toys and his treats. Although he is living in a home with another dog he really does prefer to be the only guy in the house. He doesn’t like to share his toys or humans!
Bert is very smart, he sits, shakes both paws, lays down and can do other tricks with the right treat motivation. He knows the ropes when it comes to potty breaks, no training needed there. He likes to play, but doesn’t like being outside so much – he does not like the cold or rain (but then who does!). Although only 27 pounds he is strong, he is a bit of a puller on leash, typical Boston Terrier. He would love a fenced yard to be able to run in and investigate!
Bert is on medication for an overactive thyroid, common in small breed dogs. The pills are inexpensive but he will be on this medication for the rest of his life.
Bert would do best in a quiet home, one without too much hustle and bustle. A home where he can be the centre of attention. We would recommend a home without young children. He really just likes to chill out and spend snuggle time with his people.
Bert is house trained, neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, dewormed, treated with Revolution for fleas and ticks. His adoption fee of $390 includes his full Health Record including blood panel and thyroid results.
