At 7 months old, Jamie has had a very difficult life so far. When we rescued him from the pound he was terrified and shutting down. For a boy so young it was heart-wrenching.
Now, in a loving foster home Jamie is learning to trust again. He is learning boundaries, discipline through positive reinforcement, how to play with the other dog in the home and really loves his walks and pets from his foster mom.
Jamie needs ongoing special attention – someone experienced with abused dogs would be beneficial. His forever family should be one with no children under 15, preferable no cats, have a fenced back yard for him to explore and play in and another confident large-breed female dog for him to learn from. He is a work in progress but we have already seen great positive changes in the few short weeks he has been with us.
Jamie may never be able to fully trust men, we are working on that but right now he is still painfully afraid when men come near him.
Jamie is heart worm tested, neutered, current on vaccinations, dewormed, treated with Revolution, house trained and his $390 adoption fee includes his health records.
