HYDROPONIC GREENHOUSE OPERATOR (DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS)
Drawing on your extensive leadership experience at a large scale hydroponic greenhouse facility you will forecast, plan and manage multiple facets of greenhouse operations. This is a fast-paced environment where you work under pressure, must meet tight deadlines. You will hire, supervise and train and direct staff, maintain financial and personnel records. You will organize and direct greenhouse operations, establish and maintain required environment, determine type and quantity of stock to grow, supervise planting, transplanting, feeding and spraying.
- Completion of university
- Essential skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral Communication, Working with others, problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information, Computer use.
- Experience: 5 years or more
- Speak English, Read English, Write English
- Have own vehicle
- Ability to Supervise more than 20 people
Salary: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 Yearly, 50.00 hours per week, Bonus, Mileage Paid, Medical Benefits, Dental Benefits, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance Benefits, Group Insurance Benefits

In collaboration with Fanshawe College and under the umbrella name of Employment Services Elgin (ESE), we deliver Employment Ontario’s Employment Services (ES) program. This provincially funder program assists people in finding employment through resources and information, employment counselling, employment workshops and job placements.
In September 2004, the YECC established the Talbot Teen Centre (TTC) as a youth centre for Elgin County. Having purchased and renovated the building at 745 Talbot Street, the TTC now hosts a multitude of programs to promote healthy living and healthy lifestyles to youth 12 to 18 years of age. With its long history of employment counselling and community involvement in a variety of projects, Employment Services Elgin has solidified its expertise in delivering relevant programming, and continues to evolve to best serve clients in a constantly changing labour market.
