BOIL WATER ADVISORY

To Consumers of the Central Elgin Lynhurst Village Subdivision
Secondary Water Line
The boundaries of this area include McBain Line east of
Wellington Rd, Edgewell Crescent, James Turvey Place, Shaw
Blvd
., Watson Crescent, and Owen Court Lynhurst Village
Subdivision East of Wellington Road and South of Talbot Line
Highway 3 bypass
Water Supply
The Acting Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Frank Warsh, is advising users of the
Central Elgin Lynhurst Village Subdivision Secondary Water Line to bring water
to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for domestic purposes e.g.,
drinking, making infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods and
making ice.
The reason for this advisory is that a break in the water line occurred on October
27, 2010 which resulted in a loss of water pressure to the homes in this
subdivision.
This loss of water pressure does not meet minimum requirements specified in
Ontario Regulation 170/03
This advisory measure is in place until such time as bacteriological tests prove
the water to be safe.
A copy of “How to use water safely during a boil water advisory” is available on
the Elgin St. Thomas Public Health Website at www.elginhealth.on.ca
