City Council Approves 2012 Budget

CITY COUNCIL APPROVES 2012 BUDGET WITH AN OVERALL RESIDENTIAL TAX INCREASE OF 2.6 PERCENT

On Monday, April 2, 2012 City Council considered and approved the City’s 2012 Operating Budget and its Part Two Capital Budget.

Included in the approvals are gross expenditures of $104,675,710 requiring property tax support of $41,877,321.

The municipal property tax increase for the City as a result of the budget approval is 3.0% and when combined with the preliminary education rate will see an overall residential property tax increase of 2.6%
