Breach of Recognizance


A 44 year old Port Stanley man charged with several indecent acts was arrested on Tuesday for breaching his recognizance. One of the conditions was a 24 hour curfew to remain in his residence. The accused was being monitored and located on Sunset Drive in the City of St. Thomas. He was held for court.

Shop Theft

A 27 year old St. Thomas man fled from Loss Prevention Officers after being confronted over stolen property on Wednesday evening around dinner time. Police were able to catch up to the male a couple of minutes later. He was held for court and charged with breach of probation and theft. All this for two packages of lighters.

Domestic Assault

An argument over finances and contributions to the household chores resulted in an 18 year old man being arrested and charged with assault on his 18 year old girlfriend and mother of his child. He was charged on Wednesday with three counts of assault as a result of further investigation by Police involving two historical events. He was held pending a bail hearing.
