Break and enter thief caught


Between February 26 and February 28, 2013, a total of 29 Storage lockers were broken into during the night at two different storage facilities in St. Thomas. As a result a 23 year old male from Oil Springs ON, has been arrested and charged with 12 counts of Break, Enter and theft and 1 count of possession of break and enter instruments. There may be more charges pending. Anyone with information about the break and enters or missing property are asked to contact Cst. Frank Boyes, 519-631-1364 ext 143

Lock it or lose it

On Tuesday March 12, 2013 Police attended Wal-Mart to promote and educate the public on the importance of locking your vehicles at all times. While a static display was set up, police also checked vehicles in the parking lot. Approximately 100 vehicles were checked and a total of 7 were found to be unlocked. Police will continue to promote this Crime Prevention program at local businesses within the city.
