BARKER: Mrs. Kathleen “Kit” (nee Pritchard)

BARKER, Mrs. Kathleen “Kit” (nee Pritchard), a resident of Goodness Retirement Living, St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, March 9, 2015, in her 103rd year. Wife of the late William H. Barker (1969). Mrs. Barker is survived by many family members. She was the last surviving member of her own immediate family, having been predeceased by five sisters and two brothers. Born in West Ham, Plaistow, England on November 5, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Annie (nee Waller) Pritchard. Mrs. Barker was an Anglican by faith. She was a former member of Charity Helpmate Lodge #37, St. Thomas. In accordance with Mrs. Barker’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Private interment will be made in the Old St. Thomas Churchyard, Walnut St. at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
