BEALES: Doris Edith Violet of St. Thomas

Beales, Doris Edith Violet of St. Thomas, passed away on Tuesday, May 14th, 2013, peacefully, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Larry Beales (1984) and dearly loved mother of Linda (Robert) Jones, Sandra (Peter) Heffren, Pam (Dorval) Fox, Larry (Carol) Beales and the late Janet Churchill (2010). She will sadly be missed by son-in-law Mario Schembri. Much loved grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Dear friend of Verona Dyson. Doris was born in Hastings, England on December 13th, 1924, the daughter of the late Harry and Florence Noakes. She served in the Land Army in England during W.W.II. Doris was a war bride and married Larry in England. She came to Canada in June 1946. She was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf fan.

Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
