Bishop, Dudley G.

BISHOP, Dudley G., of R.R.#3, Rodney, formerly of St. Thomas, passed away at Beattie Haven, Wardsville on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in his 100th year.  Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Teetzel) Bishop (2006).  Dearly loved father of Bryan A. Bishop and his wife Elaine of London, and the late Paul L. Bishop.  Also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews (Bishop, Clark and Teetzel families).  Dudley was the last surviving member of his own immediate family, having been predeceased by a sister, Edythe Bishop, and by brothers, Kenneth and Arthur Bishop.  Born in London, ON, June 14, 1916, he was the son of the late Albert and Emily (nee Paxton) Bishop.  Dudley was a 35 year employee of Canadian Timken and also worked as a pilot for Hicks & Lawrence Ltd.  During the Second World War, he served as a pilot with the RCAF.  A public graveside service will be held at South Park Cemetery, (Sunset Dr. & Southdale Line), St. Thomas on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the STEGH Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
