Blyde, Kevin Wayne

It is with great heartfelt sadness, that I announce the peaceful passing of my husband, Kevin Wayne Blyde, on November 6, 2014, at the St. Thomas Elgin Hospital. Surrounded by his girls, Connie, Karlie, Kammy, Jaci and Kim, as his exemplary life came to an end at the age of 61. Dearly loved husband of Connie (Ewanick) Blyde and loved father of Kim Ingram, Kammy Blyde and husband John Emeny (all of London), Jacilynn and husband Scott, of Smooth Rock Falls, Keith and wife Amy Blyde of Brantford and Karlie Laur, daughter of Connie, of Port Stanley. Much loved grandfather of Shyla, Jen, Kylie, Maya, Shelby, Evelyn and Ethan. Dear brother of George & wife Carol, (St. Catherines), John and wife Pat (Nova Scotia), sister Frances and husband Randy “Duck” Bedard, of Zurich, sister Theresa and husband Ron MacEachern (Bayfield), and brother Tom and wife Sandy (Thedford) Dear brother-in-law to John and wife Norma Ewanick of St. Thomas. Sadley missed by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Kevin was born in London, Ontario on November 17, 1952, the son of the late George Joseph and Annie Irene (Ross) Blyde. Kevin is a retired long haul truck driver, and is currently employed with First Student, where he had just received an award for 10 years of service. Kevin was a very prominent Mason in the St. Thomas District, a leading Mentor and participant in every facet of Masonic life in Elgin County. A Past Master of both St. Thomas Lodge No. 44 and Prince of Wales No. 171 in Iona Station and recently become a Shriner and a member of Mocha Shrine in London. He will be sadly missed by the entire Masonic Community.

Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Cremation to follow. Visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Masonic Memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday evening at 6:45 p.m. by Officers and Member of St. Thomas Llodge #44 A.F. and A.M.
