Bodkin, R. Mildred of Aylmer

Bodkin, R. Mildred of Aylmer, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 3rd, 2013, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Leon F. Bodkin (1964) and dearly loved mother of Paul D. Bodkin of Aylmer. She was a the last of her family. Predeceased by a sister Lita Stuttle and 2 brothers A. Clarence Moore and W. Stanley Moore. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Mildred was born in Springfield on December 23, 1918, the daughter of the late William and Mabel (Andrews) Moore. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church and was a long time member of the U.C.W.

Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service to celebrate Mildred’s life will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Aylmer Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Rotary Club Aylmer, London, Middlesex-Elgin Scholarship Fund for Music and Movement. There will be a memorial concert to celebrate Mildred’s life on Friday, June 21st at 7:30 p.m. at the St. Thomas Christian Church, Wellington St., St. Thomas. Proceeds will go to the Rotary Scholarship Fund.
