BRANTON , Ethel Irene (Bradley) of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, July 18th, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Jack Henry Branton (Nov. 6, 1978) and dearly loved mother of Shirley Irene Cook (Peter), Jack William Branton (Ruth), George Milton Branton (Margaret) and Sharon Elaine Simpson (Norman). Much loved grandmother of Karen, Kathy and John Cook, Holly, Sarah, Matthew Branton, Robert Branton and Leisa and David Simpson. Specially loved great grandmother of Dawson Cook, Brycen and Jayce Lunn, Kate Branton and newborn Gracelyn. Predeceased by 2 sisters Hazel Couse (Gurney, Clara Stirling (Fred) and Edgar Bradley (Mary). Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Ethel was born in St. Thomas on August 28th, 1923, the daughter of the late Milton Edgar and Lenna Grace (Walker) Bradley. She was a retired custodian. Ethel was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church.
Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
