Card, John “Jack” Harry

CARD- John “Jack” Harry of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the age of 78. Jack is survived by his wife Joan (nee Willson); his children Mitch (Miriam) Card of Cambridge, Steve (Kathy) Card of St. Thomas, Chris (Lisa) Card of St. Thomas, and Jo Ann Card of Cambridge; by his grandchildren Cree (Ty) Card, Danielle Card, Jackie (Darren) Kyle, Dillon (Brenda) Card, Tanner (Page) Card, and Keenan Card; his great grandchildren Cordelia, Kyren, Chaes and Braydon; by his brother Keith Card; and by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Larry (Mary Lou) Card; and by his siblings-in-law Bob Willson, Red Willson, Lloyd Willson, Lance Willson, Bill Dick, and Geo Pilkington, Maxine Dick of Windsor and Carol (John) Dutot of Sombra. Jack was born in Chatham, Ontario to the late Jack and Dorothy Card. Jack worked at VME Equipment, formerly Clark Equipment, was a member of St. Andrew’s United Church in St. Thomas, and was known as “the Mayor of Chester St.” to his friends and neighbours. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, January 6, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm, where the memorial service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00 am.
