CLINTON, Mrs. Beatrice (nee King), of St. Thomas, formerly of R.R.7, St. Thomas, passed away at Caressant Care on Bonnie Pl., St. Thomas on Monday, March 2, 2015, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Reginald W. “Reg” Clinton (March 5, 1995). Dearly loved mother of Gary Clinton (Dawn), Betty Marshall, Alan Clinton (Pat), Lloyd Clinton, Ronald Clinton (Vicki), and the late Audrey Ambeau (Art). Dear sister of Doris Schweitzer (late Garnet), late Margaret Waite (late Clifford), late Velma Fennel, and the late Robert L. King (Betty). Also remembered by step-sister, Pauline, 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Born in Muirkirk, ON, September 10, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Ethel (nee Lalonde) King. Beatrice was a member of Talbotville United Church, where she was a member of the U.C.W. and a former member of the choir and the Mr. & Mrs. Club. Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Thursday evening, March 5th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160). A service to celebrate Beatrice’s life will be held at Talbotville United Church, 10734 Sunset Road, Talbotville on Friday, March 6th at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the church hall. Private interment in Union Cemetery. Flowers graciously declined. If so desired, memorial donations to Talbotville United Church or the charity of one’s choice will be appreciated.
