Cook, Frances Emelia

Cook – Frances Emelia of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at the Tillsonburg General Hospital on Saturday, August 1st, 2015, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Sidney Cook (1985) and dearly loved mother of Barbara Dawe (Terry Calder) of St. Thomas, Donald Cook (Marie Ann) of Welland, Darlene Fleury (Donald Pollender) of Tillsonburg, Richard Cook (Linda Collard) of Aylmer, David Cook of Port Stanley, Dianne Van Eyk (Thomas) of St. Thomas, and Steve Cook of Port Stanley. Cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.  Dear sister of the late Lloyd Dugmore (Late Glenna) of Kirkland Lake, Mae Dechamps (Late Albert) of Elliot Lake, Bernice Lapointe (Bill) of Elliot Lake and Violet Hoyt (late Ted) of Sardis, B.C.  Frances was born in Kirkland Lake on August 16th, 1929, daughter of the late Francis and Lydia (Yarkie) Dugmore. Frances was retired from housekeeping at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital. She was an active volunteer at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital for a number of years and served on the St. Thomas Block Parent executive board for 19 years.

Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00am. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Elgin-St. Thomas. Online condolences may be sent to
