Cook, Jack Raymond

Cook, Jack Raymond of St. Thomas, passed away on Friday, July 18th, 2014, peacefully, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 80th year. Dearly loved husband of Ann (Leith) Cook and loved father of Steve Cook (Janice) of Orangeville, Dave Cook (Lisa) of St. Thomas, Greg Cook of Kitchener and step-father of Debbie McKeon (Mike) of St. Thomas. Dear brother of Jean McLeod of St. Thomas and  Christine Atkinson of Elmvale. Predeceased by 2 sisters Helen Axford and Maxine Smith and by  four brothers Ronald, Keith “Pop”, Gord, Myles “Joe” and David Cook . Dear brother-in-law of Norma Cook of St. Thomas, Linda Walzak (late Mike) of St. Thomas  and Vivien Rodgers (Bill) of Dorchester. Loved grandfather of Marissa, Michael, Shai, Andrea(Brian), Jeffrey,  Nicholas and family friend to Brett Bury. Sadly missed  by a number of nieces and nephews. Jack was born in St. Thomas on May 17th, 1935, the son of the late Stanley and Agnes Louise (Gage) Cook.  He was retired from Canada National Railway. He was a member of Branch 41 of Royal Canadian Legion.

A public memorial service will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and  Wednesday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place, with entombment of ashes in Elmdale Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of choice.
