Dowling-James Francis of Aylmer

Dowling-James Francis of Aylmer, and formerly of Pt. Bruce, St. Thomas and Windsor, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, September 1st, 2013, at his late residence, in his 90th year. Loved partner of JoAnn (Will) Patterson and her family Lisa College (Lenny) of Stoney Point, Ginger Patterson of London and Kim MacArthur (Jason) of Welland and loved father of Margaret Hasset and her mother Patricia Dowling of Windsor. Dear grandfather of Andrew Clement (Amelia) and Matthew  Clement (Jin) and their father John. Dear great grandfather or Declan and Bryan. Predeceased by 2 brothers Vincent and Brendan Dowling.  Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Jim was born in Ireland on September 23, 1923, the son of the late Charles and Mary (Curly) Dowling. He came to Canada in 1956 and was retired from Imermans of Detroit. He was a member of Holy Angels’ Church.

Visitation at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be recited at Holy Angels’ Church, 502 Talbot St., St. Thomas  on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.  Remembrances may be made to the charity of choice.
