Ellison, Carman Floyd P.

Ellison-Carman Floyd P. of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, December 31st, 2015, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Sylvia (Pickard) Ellison and the late Kathleen “Kaye” (Garside) Ellison. Loving father of Greg and Jody and Marlene and Ted (Roos). Dearly loved by grandchildren Jared, Lindsay, Brett, Shawn and Tyler.  Floyd was born in Brant County on November 26th, 1923, the son of the late Richard Charles and Grace (Rose) Ellison. He is predeceased by 8 siblings and will be missed by his one remaining sister, Frieda Manser and by many nieces and nephews. Floyd served in the RCAF during W.W.II, in England and was a member of the Legion.  He retired from Canada Packers after more than 30 years of service.

Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 2nd at   2:00 p.m. Private interment in Beechwood Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00-2:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
