Fearn – Agnes of Westmount Gardens, London and formerly of Metcalfe Gardens, St. Thomas passed away peacefully at her late residence on Friday, June 20th, 2014, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Charles “Chuck” Fearn (2004) and loved mother of Charlotte (late James) Leddy of St. Thomas, Sheila (John) Cassidy of London, Rosemary (Frank) Verlinden of Windsor, and Charles Fearn of St. Thomas. Cherished grandmother of James (Angie) Leddy, Daniel Leddy (Leigh Anne Palumbo), Colleen (Slawek) Morawski, Sarah (Juan) Romero, Leanne Cassidy, Richard (Shannon) Veroszlinden, Theresa Verlinden (Ryan Chittle) and great-grandmother of Elin, Ryan, Erin, Mya, Vada and Atticus. Dear sister-in-law of Jean Crowe of Newmarket. Predeceased by her brothers, Dick, Frank and Murray Crowe and sister, Mary Woonton. Agnes was born in St. Thomas on November 15th, 1922, daughter of the late Frank and Sarah (Rourke) Crowe. She graduated from the Nursing Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital in 1946. She was a member of Holy Angels’ Catholic Church and was actively involved in the Catholic Women’s League for many years. Agnes was also a long time member of the St. Thomas Golf and Country Club, the St. Thomas Curling Club and I.O.D.E. Agnes was a loving and supporting mother and family always came first.
Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas, ON until Monday afternoon and then to Holy Angels’ Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm. Interment to follow in Holy Angels’ Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:00pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Holy Angels’ Building Fund.
