Fleming, Richard “Dick” Willam Charles

Fleming – Richard “Dick” Willam Charles of St. Thomas, passed away Friday, June 26th, 2015, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, peacefully, in his 64th year. Dearly loved husband of 41 years of Lynn (Brown) Fleming and loved father of Jess Fleming (Alison) of Sparta and Nathan Fleming (Lauren) of St. Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Ronin, Quinn, Willem and Gloria. Predeceased by 2 sisters Cecelia and Gloria and brother Robert. Dick was born in St. Thomas on April 28, 1952, the son of the late Robert and Cecelia (Kloosterman) Fleming. He worked for the City of St. Thomas over 32 years and retired in 2002. Dick was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing and vacations to Northern Ontario and to Florida. He was a member of the East Elgin Sports Club.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation has taken place, with private interment of ashes in South Park Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Liver Foundation.
