Ford, Wesley “Wes” of Caressant Care Home, St. Thomas, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, August 24th, 2013, at his late residence in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Edna (Hollett) Ford (1966) and the late Jean (Hinchliffe) Ford (2011). Loved father of Judy and her husband Raymond Boyer of Scarborough, Diane and her husband Ernie Belo of Caledon and Marlene Homewood (late William Homewood) of St. Thomas. Much loved grandfather of Danya Boyer, Alison Boyer, Jeff (Cathy) Belo, Laura (Nick Lapiccirella) and Christina (Fabio Garcia) and great grandfather of Julian. Missed by Jean’s grandchildren Kimberley (Dave Yurek), Dale ( Angela Homewood) and Holly (Brian Ripley) all of St. Thomas and their families. Lovingly remembered by 14 great grandchildren. Wes was born in Toronto on March 15th, 1923. He was a retired salesman for Crane Canada (Plumbing and Heating). He served in W.W. II with the Toronto Scottish A Company and served all over Europe (Holland and Germany). The family wish to take this opportunity to express their sincere thanks to Rev. Roger Landell for his kind words and to Cori, Katherine, John and all the staff from Caressant Care Home on Mary Bucke for all their compassion and care of Wes.
A private family service will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas. Cremation has taken place and burial of ashes will take place in Toronto at a later date. No Visitation. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Legion Poppy Fund in memory of Wes, through Williams Funeral Home, 519 631 0850.

- Nathan is originally from Cardiff, Wales, and was imported to Canada as a internet mail order groom in 1998 and has managed to avoid deportation ever since. Even though sometimes mis-interpreted, possibly to retaining a Welsh accent, he continues to try his best to make a difference to the community he has grown to love.
