Gordon, Jean (nee Haney)

GORDON, Mrs. Jean (nee Haney), of Victorian Manor, Dutton, formerly of R.R.#1, Fingal, passed away at Four Counties Health Care, Newbury, on Thursday, May 14, 2015, in her 94th year. Wife of the late Norman J. Gordon (1996). Sister of the late Rose Gordon (2004). She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. Born in Vienna, ON, March 3, 1922, she was the daughter of the late George and Dee (nee MacDonald) Haney. Jean was a retired primary school teacher. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Thomas, a member of the Superannuated Teachers of Ontario, and a member of the Ontario Genealogical Society. The funeral service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Wednesday, May 20th at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends will be received by the family one hour prior. Private interment in Light Cemetery, Bayham. If so desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario will be appreciated. A special thank you to Frank and Joanne Nagy of Victorian Manor for all of their help, and to the C.C.A.C. for their care of Jean.
