Helps, Roger Raymond of St. Thomas, passed away suddenly, on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016, at his late residence, at the age of 68. Dearly loved husband of Suzanne Patricia (McCallum) Helps and loved father of Joshua Helps, Joe Helps of Sarnia and Neena Lester (James) of Brigden. Grandfather of Conner and Marissa. Dear brother of Rose Stewardson (Ivan) of Sarnia, Ross Helps (Avril) of Corruna, Darlene Dundas (Doug) of Strathroy and dear brother-in-law of Bill Hornbostel. Predeceased by a sister Vivian Hornbostel and 2 brothers Danny and Edgar Helps. Dear son-in-law of Wayne and Rena McCallum of St. Thomas. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews and friends. He was born in Petrolia on November 16th, 1948, the son of the late Clifford and Leona (Belanger) Helps. Roger worked over 35 years at Ford Motor Company , Talbotville. He was a member of the C.A.W. He enjoyed cars and motorcycles and working on them. He liked racing his motorcycles. Roger was a 4th degree blackbelt and an instructor. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
