Hill, Dorothy Rhea of St. Thomas

Hill, Dorothy Rhea of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, June 29th, 2013, at her late residence, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Jack Taylor and the late Kenneth Hill. Dearly loved mother of James Taylor (Connie) of St. Thomas, late Robert Taylor (Donna of London), Kim Hill (Donna) of St. Thomas and Jan Hill (Monica) of London. Sadly missed by a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Dorothy was the last of the Simons family. Predeceased by a brother Lloyd Simons and 4 sisters Eleanor Jamieson, Jean Proctor, Betty Crandell and Margaret Turner. Dorothy was born in St. Thomas on January 3rd, 1924, the daughter of the late Mary (Doxtator) (Simons) Fisher and the late Lloyd Simons. She was retired from the St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital. Dorothy was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s over 25 years and also sang in the St. Thomas Psychiatric Choir.

Dorothy had requested a private family graveside service and no visitation. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation. Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas in charge of arrangements.
