Jackson, Evelyn (nee Case)

JACKSON, Mrs. Evelyn (nee Case), of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, September 17, 2015, in her 79th year. Beloved wife for 54 years to David W. Jackson. Dearly loved mother of Walter Jackson (Sandra) of Muskoka, and Richard Jackson (Kim) of Sarnia. Cherished grandmother of Matthew, Jenna, Kevin, Tyler, Brandon, Lindsey, Haley, and Jarrett. Dear sister of Hayward Case (Brenda) of Fredericton, NB, and Mayes Case (Mary) of Orillia. Also fondly remembered by 7 great grandchildren, several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Born in Wickham, NB, April 6, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (nee McCain) Case. Evelyn was an avid gardener and her family meant everything to her. She was a retired administrator with Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Thomas-Elgin. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Evelyn’s life will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Monday, September 21st at 1:30 p.m. Relatives and friends will be received by the family one hour prior. If so desired, memorial donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters will be appreciated.
