Massecar, Edward “Ed” Franklin

Massecar-Edward “Ed” Franklin of Mississauga and formerly of St. Thomas passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in Toronto, suddenly, at the age of 58. Dearly loved son of Marion (Robinson) Massecar and the late Raymond Earl Massecar (2013). Dear brother of Leo Massecar (Wendy (Oliver), Mary-Lou Weber (Chuck) and Brian Massecar. Loved uncle of Shawn Massecar (Natalie), Lindsey Hardy (Rich) and the late Robbie Broadhurst and great uncle of Liam, Lincoln, Weston, Paisley and Chase. Ed was born in St. Thomas on June 25th, 1958. He moved to Mississauga at the age of 24 and worked as an insurance adjuster until retirement, then worked installing pool tables. He was an avid member at the Crestwood Lake Park and was very involved in their social functions. He served as a past member of the social committee and was always there to lend a hand. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
