McAnulty- James of St. Thomas passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, May 5th, 2015 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Docherty) McAnulty (2000) and dearly loved father of Graham and Michelle of Guelph, Yvonne Smith of St. Thomas, Drew and Carol of Ottawa, and Martin and Carie of Aylmer. Cherished grandfather of Sarah (Pat), Erin (Mark), Nick (Anna), Mike, Tegan (Mark), Ryan, Steve, Jordan, Danika, Taryn and Arden. Dear brother-in-law of John (Nan) Docherty, Mary Oliver, Kathy McAnulty all of Sarnia and Daniel (Sally) Docherty of Windsor. Lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. James was born in Greenock, Scotland on June 19th, 1930, son of the late Patrick and Mary (Mcgee) McAnulty.  He was the last of his family, predeceased by his 10 siblings. James was retired from the Ministry of Revenue. He was a member of St. Anne’s Church and 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus St. Thomas. He served in the Merchant Navy during the Korean War. James had a passion for travelling.

Resting at Williams Funeral Home 45 Elgin Street, St. Thomas until Friday and then to St. Anne’s Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am. Interment to follow in Holy Angels’ Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Thursday at 2:00pm.
