Moon – Mildred Elaine (Clark) of Elgin Manor, St. Thomas passed away peacefully at her late residence on Sunday, July 24th, 2016, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Harley Bryce Moon (2001) and loved mother of Barbara Ross (Ian) of Burlington, Charles Moon (Lynn) of St. Thomas, Robert Moon (Dr. Miriam Salamon) of Ottawa, Kay Peck (Greg Schwarze) of Belfountain, and Janet Cassidy of Burlington. Cherished grandmother of Allison, Serena, Amy (Jay), Kate (Lyle), Jesse(Emma), Emily (Josh), Erin (Ed), Dustin (Kristin), Tyler, Margot (Jeff) and Patrick. Lovingly remembered by great grandchildren Logan, Elijah and Sylvie and by a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dear sister of late Helen Douglas and the late Muriel Clark Wilkinson and her daughter Joan Michlowski. Mildred was born in Warwick on July 21st, 1922, daughter of the late Russell and Emma (Blain) Clark. She was a primary school teacher at Hickson and Mervin Heights in London before moving to St. Thomas in 1949 where Harley taught at S.T.C.I., Central and Parkside Collegiate. She was a member of First United Church. Mildred will be fondly remembered by her many friends at Elgin Manor, the St. Thomas Curling Club, U.C.W. and bridge games.

Memorial visitation will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street St. Thomas on Saturday, (AUGUST 6th) from 2-5pm. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be at South Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Pinafore Park Memory Garden or the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation.     Mildred was a very good Freind to our mother Marjorie Andrews while at the manor . Helping her to feel at home. It was great to see her so avid at doing all of the flowers both outside and inside. A wonderful lady. You can be proud to have had her for a mother.
