O’CONNOR – Theodore Wilfred “Bud” O’Connor of St. Thomas

O’CONNOR – Theodore Wilfred “Bud” O’Connor of St. Thomas and formerly of Boxall, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6th, 2013, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of 60 years of  Joyce Rosetta (Pearson) O’Connor and dearly loved husband of Thomas “Tom” and his wife Deborah O’Connor and Donald and his wife Karlene O’Connor. Dearly loved grandfather of Tara Caslick (Peter), Jennifer Chantler (Ian), Patrick O’Connor (Amy), Jason O’Connor (Tammy), Sean O’Connor (Rebecca Greenlaw) and James O’Connor. Dear brother of  Ruth Egger of Alberta, Glen O’Connor (Gladys) of Aylmer, Joan Sibley of St. Thomas, John O’Connor (Marion) of St. Thomas, the late Marion Alden and the late Jean Brown. Sadly missed by a number of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Bud was born in Southwold Township on March 31, 1933. He was retired co-founder of St. Thomas Tire (Kains St. and then Talbot St., St. Thomas.) Bud played the guitar, sang and was an entertainer and played in a small band called Country Friends.

Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Flowers gratefully declined. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association of the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care Unit)
