Paul-William “Bill” Norman

Paul-William “Bill” Norman of R.R. 5 St. Thomas passed away peacefully, at his late residence, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 25th, 2015, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of over 66 years of Sally Marie (Robbins) Paul and loved father of Randall “Randy “ Paul , Kevin Paul (Ella), Carolyn Plaunt (Stephen).  Cherished grandfather of Eric Plaunt (Melissa), Brian Plaunt (Tiffany), Bradley Paul (Jenn) and Gregory Paul.  Sadly missed by 9 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Mary Hodges and the late Evelyn Walker. Dear brother-in-law of Charles Walker, the late Wesley Hodges and  Elsie Robbins (late Bill). Bill was born in St. Thomas on July 9th, 1928 the son of the late Clifford and Lottie (Smith) Paul. He retired from Canada Vitrified Products after 39 years of service. He was a member of First Yarmouth (Plains) Baptist Church. He was a former member of the National Model Railroad Assoc., W.O.D., N.F.R., London Model Railway Assoc., Elgin County Railway Museum, Founding member of the Elgin Model Rails, and was active with many musical groups.

The funeral service will be held at First Yarmouth (Plains) Baptist Church on Saturday, (Feb. 28th) at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Union Cemetery. Visitation at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the St. Thomas Community Living Association or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
