Rea, Andrew Clifton “Cliff”

Rea-Andrew Clifton “Cliff” of Caressant Care Home, St. Thomas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2016, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 79th year. Dearly loved husband of Marion (Chapman) Rea and dear brother of Phillip Rea of Stratford, Dennis Rea (Sandy) of Guelph and Paul Rea (Cathy) of Kitchener. Predeceased by 3 sisters Gloria, Sylvia, Linda and Diane and 2 brothers Ralph and Larry. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews. Cliff was born in London on April 15, 1937, the son of the late Andrew and Ila (Foster) Rea. He owned and operated Homedale I.G.A. He was a long-time member of Grace United Church (1962) and a former member of the St. Thomas Lions Club. Cliff and Marion sponsored many baseball and bowling teams through I.G.A. and were active in sponsoring many other community events and charities. Cliff was awarded “St. Thomas Citizen of the Year” in 1990.
Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Private interment in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Remembrances may be given to the charity of choice. Condolences may be sent to
