ROBERTS, Lois (nee VanSickle), of Port Stanley
ROBERTS, Lois (nee VanSickle), of Port Stanley and formerly of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, August 8, 2013, in her 64th year. Wife of Allan Roberts. Mother of Karen Bakker (Bryan), and Ken Roberts (Jody), all of St. Thomas. Grandmother of Ilea, Chloe and Andrew. Sister of Don VanSickle (Sharon) of BC. Born in London, ON, May 24, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Violet (nee Shank) VanSickle. Lois owned and operated the Mother’s Touch Cleaning Service, and was the caretaker of Kettle Creek Villa, Port Stanley. She was a member of the St. Thomas Pentecostal Assembly.
Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Monday, August 12th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the St. Thomas Pentecostal Assembly, 144 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Tuesday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Union Cemetery. Memorial donations to the charity of one’s choice gratefully acknowledged.
