Taylor (McIntyre), Isabel L. of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, enveloped in the love of her family and friends, on Tuesday, February 14th, 2017, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Donald Taylor and dearly loved mother of Cynthia Taylor-Luce (David) of Burlington, Christopher Taylor (Michelle) of St. Thomas, Joanne Fortin (Jerry) of St. Thomas, Barbara Feairs (Bill) of St. Thomas and Janet Taylor-McCaig (Bob) of St. Thomas. Cherished grandmother of Diana (Matthew), Isabel, Georgina, Brandon (Karlee), Stephanie (Shane), Andre (Mary), Nicole (Shawn), Jarrett (Amanda), Jordan (Katherine), Tyler and Andrew. Lovingly remembered as “Gigi” by 9 great-grandchildren, Also missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends. Dear sister of Jean MacArthur (John), Judith Olsen (Richard), Arthur Green (Helen) and the late Calvin McIntyre (late Verna). Isabel was born in St. Thomas on November 4th, 1931, daughter of the late Ruthven and Violet (Wheeler) McIntyre. She worked for the Elgin County Board of Education and was the secretary at Southwold Public School for 25 years. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, St. Thomas on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place with private family interment of ashes at a later date in Elmdale Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to the STEGH Foundation or St. Thomas Animal Aide.
