Wallis,Ronald H. of St. Thomas formerly Strathroy At London Health Sciences Centre (Victoria Campus) on Saturday June 15, 2013. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Ronald Herbert Wallis of St. Thomas in his 81st year. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years Myrna (Edwards) Wallis of St.Thomas and father to Randy (Doreen), Greg (Veronika) and David (Carine) Wallis. Grandfather to Laura (Matt), Aaron (Cate), Nikolina, Kristina, Tyler, Cory and Emma. Great grandfather to Harrison, Predeceased by his father Herbert Wallis (1982) and mother Adeline (Pierce) Wallis (1990). Ron was a proud member of the Ontario Provincial Police for 31 years. Serving Sarnia and Petrolia from 1959 to1973, Welland 1973 to1976, London 1976 to1979 and then became detachment commander in Parkhill and retired in 1990. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at DENNING BROS. FUNERAL HOME LTD. 32 METCALFE ST. W., STRATHROY on Thursday June 20, 2013 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm where funeral service will be held on Friday June 21, 2013 at 11:00 am. with Pastor Roger Gast officiating. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers , Donations in memory of Ron to the St. Thomas Elgin Memorial Hospital or the Diabetes Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
