WATSON, James Kenneth, of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, July 19, 2013, in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Brown) Watson. Loving father of Steven Watson of Cobourg, Ron Watson (Lisa) of Ridgetown, Mike Watson (Tammy) of Roseneath, and Doug Simpson (Marg) of St. Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Rowan, Ainislie, Bronwyn, Jesse, Douglas James, Robbie, and Kendra, and great grandfather of Dominick. Dear brother of George W. Watson (Birthe) of St. Thomas, and the late Donna MacDonald (Clare of St. Thomas). Also survived by his aunt Shirley Risebourgh, sisters-in law, Laura Griffin of St. Thomas, and Fay Beaton (late John) of London, by a brother-in-law, Bob Brown (Joyce) of Port Stanley, and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father-in-law Doug Brown, and by his mother-in-law Lillian Brown. Born in St. Thomas, ON, February 11, 1943, he was the son of the late G. H. “Hank” and Mabel (nee Vaughan) Watson. James was retired from Ontario Power Generation, Darlington. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Sunday, July 21st from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) where the funeral service will be held Monday, July 22nd at 1:30 p.m. Following cremation, interment in Elmdale Memorial Park. Memorial donations to the London Health Sciences Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society gratefully acknowledged.

- Nathan is originally from Cardiff, Wales, and was imported to Canada as a internet mail order groom in 1998 and has managed to avoid deportation ever since. Even though sometimes mis-interpreted, possibly to retaining a Welsh accent, he continues to try his best to make a difference to the community he has grown to love.
