Wemyss, James Barry of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Friday, December 18th, 2015, in his 75th year. Beloved partner of Carol Robins and dearly loved father of Barrie and his wife Barb, Michael and his wife Cristie, Wendy and her husband Tim McLeod and step-father of Karen and her husband Paul Wolf and Glen Baker and his wife Sue. Cherished papa of Colton, Trenten, Payton, Robert, Karlye, Dan, Tallon and step-grandpa of Declan, Nolan, Matthew, Mike and Daniel. James was born in Montreal, Quebec on April 25th, 1941, son of the late John and Margaret (Quirk) Wemyss. He was retired from truck driving and worked for Clarke Equipment, Caterpillar, CT Transport and Harold Marcus. He was a member of Orangemans Club and the West Lorne Legion.
A memorial to celebrate James’ life will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, St. Thomas at 9:00pm on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2015. Cremation has taken place with private interment of ashes in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7:00-9:00pm . Flowers gratefully declined.
