Wilcox, Richard “Dick”

Wilcox-Richard “Dick” of Iona and formerly of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, June 25th, 2016, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, at the age of 82. Dearly loved husband of Carole (Moore) Wilcox and the late Vivian (McCaw) Wilcox (1983) and loved father of R. Kevin Wilcox (Marcy), Dean Skelding (Zelia), Terri Snell (Gord) and Lee Anne Skelding (Michelle). Much loved grandfather of Amanda, Alex, Emily, Kevin, Alex, Carlye, Courtney, Erin, Kenny, Briar, Katie, Marcus, Matthew and Jacob and great grandfather of Abby and Aiden. Dear brother of June Bentley of London and Barbara Brown (Richard) of Chatham. Dick was born in Chatham on May 9, 1934, the son of the late Richard and Matilda Jane (King) Wilcox. He worked for Canadian Oil, Shell and then owned and operated Wilcox Fuels and drove for Verbruggen Trucking.
Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with private interment of ashes in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the London Regional Cancer Centre. Condolences may be sent to ahughson@execulink.com.
