On November 10, 2012, at approximately 5:30 PM, St. Thomas police received a call from the parent of a 13 year old girl asking for assistance. The mother had located her daughter at a west end apartment in the company of several adults. The 13 year old female was extremely intoxicated and was removed from the apartment by police. The female was taken to a place of safety and Children’s Aid was notified. The St. Thomas police are continuing to investigate this incident.
Impaired Driver Arrested
On November 11, 2012 at approximately 3:20 AM, police stopped a vehicle and arrested a 50 year old male driver after investigation revealed that the male was intoxicated. The male provided breath samples and was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with more than 80 mg’s of alcohol in 100 mL of blood. The male was released with a future court date after having his licence suspended.
