On May 2, 2012 St Thomas Police arrested a 25 year old male on an outstanding warrant for breaching the terms of his probation order. The accused was held at police headquarters pending a Thursday May 3, 2012 court appearance.
Sometime between 9:00AM and 11:00PM Sunday April 30, 2012 a GPS (global positioning system) cellular telephone and X-M radio were stolen from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a Rosebery Place residence. Police are reminding citizens to remove valuables and lock all doors of unattended vehicles. Prohibited driver charged
Shortly after 6:00AM Thursday May 3, 2012 St Thomas Police conducted a traffic stop on Redan Street. A police check on the 30 year old male driver revealed he was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle in the province of Ontario. The driver was issued a summons to appear in court. His vehicle was towed to a storage compound.
Female Arrested for Internal theft of Prescription Drugs
On May 1, 2012 at approximately 5:00 PM, the St. Thomas Police Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a 25 year old female for possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance. The arrest took place after an investigation in to numerous internal thefts at a south end pharmacy. The female has been charged with 12 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a controlled substance and 10 counts of theft under $5000. Upon her arrest, the female was found to be in possession of a large quantity of oxycodone. The internal thefts relate to oxycodone and hydromorphone being stolen from the pharmacy.
The female was held in custody pending a May 2 court appearance.
