Arrest Made In 2014 Suspicious Death Investigation

(ST. THOMAS, ON) – On Thursday December 25, 2014, at approximately 6:40pm, the St. Thomas Police Service attended a Talbot Street apartment regarding a suspicious death.

A post mortem examination was conducted by a Forensic Pathologist at the London Health Sciences Centre where it was determined that the victim, 36 year-old Danny DIGIANDOMENICO, had died as a result of sharp force trauma. Further investigation revealed that Danny DIGIANDOMENICO was the victim of a homicide.

Since this incident occurred, members of the St. Thomas Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch, with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) have worked diligently and methodically to identify the person responsible for this death.

On Saturday May 7, 2016, 29 -year old Michael Thomas WILKINS of St. Thomas, Ontario, was arrested in the City of Woodstock by members of the investigative team and is facing a charge of Manslaughter.

The accused has been remanded into custody pending a future court date. There is a publication ban in effect; no further media releases will be published.
