A 41 year old St. Thomas man was arrested and charged with one count of assault yesterday afternoon. The male was attending a West end home which was his girlfriends address. He had been consuming alcohol and was denied entry. The male forced his way into the residence and had assaulted the 14 year old son. The male was brought to the St. Thomas Police Station where he was released with a future court date and conditions. The youth did not suffer any injuries.
Law Enforcement Torch Run
The St. Thomas Community is invited to come out and support the Law Enforcement Torch Run which will start at the West end Tim Horton’s on Talbot at 10:00am. There will be a brief stop at City Hall for Photograph’s and then will carry on to Pinafore Park.
The “Flame of Hope” will be carried across the Province in an effort to raise awareness and funds to support Special Olympics in Ontario. All money raised goes to program support which helps pay for the expenses incurred during the travel and the accommodations during the Special Olympic Games.
Police and Local athletes will be carrying the torch from Tim Horton’s to Pinafore Park, Tuesday June 18, 2013 starting at 10:00am
