St. Thomas police arrested a 29 year old St. Thomas man on the strength of a Canada wide warrant. Christopher Wayne Gaudio was arrested July 31st at 1:45 pm behind a west-end Talbot Street business without incident. The Canada wide warrant was held by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in British Columbia (B.C.). Gaudio had originally been charged by St. Thomas police and had his charges moved to B.C. to be answered to. While residing in B.C. Gaudio accrued further criminal charges resulting in a Canada wide warrant being issued. In total Gaudio is facing three arrest warrants with charges including theft under $5000.00, escape lawful custody and failing to comply with his probation order. Gaudio remains in custody while arrangements are made to have him transported back to B.C. to answer to all of the charges.
