A 22-year old St. Thomas man faces 17 charges after a domestic dispute with an ex-girlfriend that spanned between two addresses. Police were called first to a Wellington St. address via a third party indicating an assault was taking place. When Police arrived, the apartment was empty. Police attended a second residence where more assaults had taken place involving the victim and the accused’s father, holding a knife and threatening to kill them. The accused fled before police arrived there as well.
The accused was eventually located back at the first address, which was not his, and placed him under arrest. As a result the male faces charges of, Uttering threats to cause death X2, Uttering threats to damage property, Assault X2, Assault with a weapon, Breach of probation X3, Fail to comply with recognizance X7, and Fail to comply with undertaking.
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing. Neither victim required medical attention.
